Gillotin’s passion for perfumery was sparked by his cousin, a perfumer at the legendary Chanel, who introduced him to the world of the art of scent.

Gillotin’s educational background began with a focus on biology, where he studied in Paris. However, his fascination with fragrance and perfumery led him to the Givaudan Perfumery School. There, he refined his skills and learned the nuances of the craft from some of the most experienced perfumers in the industry.

Olivier Gillotin began his illustrious career at Givaudan, the leading manufacturer of fragrances and flavors, where he has been an integral part of the company for over 20 years. He is currently the Vice President of Fragrance USA for Givaudan and is based in New York City. Over the years, Gillotin’s creations have spread throughout the United States and Europe, establishing himself as a highly sought-after perfumer.

Gillotin’s unique approach to perfumery stems from his ability to reinvent the classics and combine them with his passion for new ideas and innovations. In 2022, the American Society of Perfumery (ASP) recognized Gillotin’s exceptional talent and passion for perfumery with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. This honor was presented to him at the World Perfumer Conference in Miami, Florida, confirming his status as a master of the craft.
