Karine Vinchon Spehner’s childhood in Normandy, France, was marked by fragrant memories of her grandfather’s biscuit shop and the region’s picturesque apple orchards. These enchanting scents fueled her curiosity for perfumery and led her to pursue a career in the field. Karine enrolled at ISIPCA, the prestigious perfumery school in Versailles, to refine her skills and deepen her understanding of the craft.

After completing her training, Karine began her professional journey at Robertet, a renowned fragrance company, under the leadership of master perfumer Michel Almairac. Throughout her career, she has created exceptional fragrances for brands such as Amouage, L'Artisan Parfumeur, Memo Paris and Brioni. Some of her most popular creations include Amouage Interlude Woman, Amouage Memoir Man, L'Artisan Parfumeur Batucada and the recent Amouage Boundless.

Karine Vinchon Spehner's perfumes are characterized by their abundance of natural raw materials and her preference for amber and woody notes. She enjoys working with patchouli and vetiver and often incorporates these elements into her creations. An example of this connection is her fragrance, Tiger’s Nest, inspired by an encounter with Clara at the Cinéhaïku short film festival sponsored by Memo Paris in Gordes.
