Jesus Del Pozo

In 1974, Jesús del Pozo launched his first menswear store and presented his first men's collection in Paris in 1976. From 1980, he presented women's ready-to-wear collections at the Cibeles fashion show. Del Pozo ventured into perfumery with his first fragrance, “Duende”, in 1992, followed by several others. He also designed lingerie, jewelry and bridal collections while founding the JDP brand in Japan in 1997. In addition to fashion, he created uniforms and costumes for theater productions. In 1999, he advocated for the Asociación Creadores de Moda de España and later founded the Jesús del Pozo Foundation, which promoted fashion education.

Spanish designer Jesús del Pozo founded the eponymous fashion house in 1974. His work and collections stood out for their strong personality and the designer's unmistakable style. After four decades in the fashion world, it is considered one of the most renowned and credible Spanish houses nationally. After the death of its founder in August 2011, Grupo Perfumes y Diseño took over the brand. Months later, the fashion house changed the label to DELPOZO and hired Josep Font as creative director. Font stepped down in the fall of 2018; Lutz Huelle is the current creative director of the label.
