Guy Laroche

Guy Laroche was a French fashion designer who became known for
his elegant, refined designs. He was born in 1921 in La Rochelle,
France, and began his career as a fashion designer in the 1950s. His work
was often characterized by luxury and refinement, and his designs were
praised worldwide for their refined lines and elegant appearance. Laroche
founded his own fashion house in 1957, which later became known for both
women's fashion as perfumes.

When it comes to perfumes, Guy Laroche is perhaps the best known
for Drakkar Noir (1972): This is perhaps his most famous perfume for men. It became one of the first fragrances to popularize the "fresh, masculine" type of fragrance. The perfume contains notes of lavender, lemon, bergamot, geranium, jasmine and sandalwood, and quickly became a bestseller.
