Calice Becker

Calice Becker, a French master perfumer and director of the Givaudan Perfumery School, once asked her mother how flowers end up in a bottle of eau de cologne. She was fascinated by the clear liquid that smelled strongly of orange blossom. She later discovered the answer to this mystery and today she fills crystal bottles with flowers herself.

“I like to add a touch of mystery because nothing grabs attention like a hint of something unexpected,” says Calice. Her innovative approach has earned her a well-deserved reputation as one of the most respected perfumers in the world.

Calice has created several world-renowned fragrances including Dior J'adore, YSL, Marc Jacobs and By Kilian's "chef d'oeuvre." She believes in adding an element of surprise to her creations to make them stand out.

In recognition of her contributions to the fragrance industry, Calice has received numerous awards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award from The Fragrance Foundation. In 2018, she served as president of the International Society of Perfume Creators.
